Feminized cannabis seeds produce only female marijuana plants, meaning all cultivated plants will have smokable buds. Feminized seeds are produced by inducing a hermaphroditic state (monoecious) in a female cannabis plant. After this process, all resulting seeds are identical to the self-pollinated female parent, meaning there is only one set of genes present in the seed.

In other words, with feminized cannabis seeds, growers don't have to worry about their plants being pollinated by other male plants, as only female plants will grow.
