Autoflowering (or Auto/Automatic) cannabis seeds are marijuana seeds that automatically begin to flower once the plant reaches a certain age. This is unlike most non-automatic cannabis strains, as most cannabis strains do not start flowering until the daily light exposure drops to 12 hours (like in the fall).

Autoflowering cannabis strains were developed by crossing Ruderalis, a species accustomed to growing in more extreme northern conditions (with little sunlight), with other more potent cannabis strains from warmer climates. Therefore, autoflowering plants grow faster, are smaller, and are less sensitive to conditions. Many experienced growers recommend choosing a feminized plant if you're looking for quantity, but if you live in northern regions or want small, less fragile plants, then autoflowering is the best choice for you!
